Tissue Archiving             The CSU Animal Cancer Center has a fully developed tissue archiving service. Pets' cancer tissues - including heprinized plasma, serum, PBMC’s and histoblocks of tumor and normal tissue are collected and used for research. Each patient’s detailed history is included as well as a linkage to treatment outcomes. To date, a total of 906 patients have tissues banked at CSU – totaling to 12,400 samples. The tissue is made available both internally and externally for research. At CSU, research is conducted in the areas of cancer genetics, biomarkers and molecular targets.           The Tissue Archive is directed by Susan Lana, DVM, MS.
