Musculoskeletal Oncology  
A group of cancer and orthopedic specialists, biomedical and mechanical engineers direct the Musculoskeletal Oncology Core at the Animal Cancer Center. This multidisciplinary team studies cancers that affect the musculoskeletal system, diagnosis and treatment of these cancers. A major research interest is in the area of osseointegrated prosthetics and implants for limb sparing surgery for both animal and human use.  
  Equipment includes:  
  - Scanco Medical MicroCT 80 Scanner  
  - OsteoMetrics OsteoMeasute™ Software to perform histomorphomerty on plastic and paraffin   embedded bone sections
